Do you want a high energy FUN dance party?

For over a decade Nice Entertainment has racked up a ton of 5 star reviews on Google. In fact, (I just checked) the MOST of any wedding DJ in Atlanta!

So give me 5 minutes of your precious time and I’ll show you how YOUR wedding can truly be the BEST party you’ve ever attended. Period.

They Didn’t Think I Could Shake Up The Wedding Industry, But I Did!

Way back in 2004 I was in Miami, Florida - South Beach to be exact. When I experience one of the most mind blowing musical showings of my life. In fact, it changed my life. Here’s how…

DJ in Miami sparked an “aha moment”

The DJ who was solely crushing the dance floor, brought out a saxophonist AND drummer to play along with him on stage.

The sax, the drums, and the DJ played off of each other and created a new musical energy that the crowd had never felt before.

This was an aha moment for me and why I’m so excited for you!

Two reasons:

One: It scratched my double artistic itch. I played guitar in bands my teenage years and DJ’d in my early 20s. So this new combo filled my soul. I deeply felt live music and understood the hard work to masterfully play an instrument. But could also see the DJ benefits. Seamlessly mixing never-ending tracks to keep the dance floor’s pulse rising.

Two: And this is where you come in… I thought - this is what the world needs! This DJ/Band Combo could dominate weddings, corporate events, heck - anywhere there’s a party! And no one knows about it!

No one knew about the DJ/Sax/Drum combo except this obscure DJ from Europe! (Who was awesome - But I don’t remember his name. So thank you DJ Gustaf? Maybe?

⭐️ The Building Of A Star ⭐️

The very next day, I excitedly hopped on the plane and brought this musical combo idea home to Atlanta.

The first place I tried the DJ/Sax/Drum combo was obviously Buckhead. The bars and clubs we rocked (which are all now gone) allowed us to get our reps in for three years (2004-2007).

We were playing 20-30 hours per week. 50 weeks per year! Every genre of music imaginable! And perfected our craft like mad scientists.

We didn’t have a name for our hybrid performance thing yet. But the proof was in the pudding - the club owners LOVED it and booked the DJ/Sax/Drum over and over. And the best part we were having A FREAKIN BLAST!

Until…

This is where things took a turn for the worse.

In 2007 I got married and was put in charge of hiring the DJ - because I was a DJ. This should be no problem.

Hiring a friend that was a fellow “club DJ” seemed like the reasonable thing to do. Mind you, I had never been to an actually wedding since I was 7 years old. But still, he assured me that he knew what he was doing and that it would go great.

It Did NOT Go Great :-(

The club DJ screwed up my wedding!

There’s 3 main reasons a club DJ is a bad idea for a wedding.

  1. In a club, the DJ doesn’t have to be organized.

  2. In a club, the DJ doesn’t have to make announcements on the microphone.

  3. In a club, the DJ really doesn’t have to show up on time (have you ever wondered why there’s a line outside the club! LOL)

So here we go. My wedding day is finally here…

The club DJ played the wrong song while my bride-to-be walked down the aisle. It wasn’t even close! He played The Love Shack instead of Canon In D. That’s bad!

The club DJ made ZERO announcements and only played weird club music that no one knew. Nothing popular.

After my devastating wedding, I attended my friends weddings and they hired normal “wedding DJ’s”. OMG it was just as bad in other direction. If the club DJ’s weren’t organized, these old dudes in cummerbunds didn’t know how to HAVE FUN!

That’s when I decided to start a fulltime DJ business!

How The “Mansion Package” Got Us On Disney, To The Super Bowl, In With Coke, And Down With Some Of The Biggest Wedding Planners In Atlanta!

Since everyone gets married around the same age, I had lots of friends needing a wedding DJ. The good news was that I was cheap. The bad news was, I didn’t quite know what I was doing at weddings… yet!

From 2007 to 2012 we performed over 400 weddings. At that point I had not only perfected the DJ/Sax/Drums combo for weddings, but I had also built up a pretty dang good business (which I named Nice Entertainment). We were once again rocking and having fun! AND BEST OF ALL had created an in-house formula to replicate these wedding entertainment experiences all over the Southeast.

We immediately launched in 5 cities. Jacksonville, Charleston, Nashville, Asheville, Charlotte, and also had our flagship site in Atlanta.

Nice grew to 6 cities!!!

This quick expansion and new excitement caught the eye of gigantic players! We were able to land some pretty sweet shows with Disney, Coke, FOX Sports, Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta, and (get this) a 3 million dollar wedding at The Cloister in Sea Island!

We were rolling in the deep!

Until…

How Growing Killed Nice Entertainment

In 2017 our demand had grown so big in the Southeast that I couldn’t find the DJ talent to fill it. So I had to shut it all down. I didn’t want half talented DJ’s and musicians going out and being a part of someones special day just for money. I wanted to be the BEST!

We closed shop in all 5 cities and brought our team down to the bare bones in Atlanta. To quote Truet Cathy “We gotta get better, before we get bigger!”

And that’s exactly what we did!

Cut The Dead Branches. Grow New Fruit!

We recruited, hired and trained six of the most talented DJs and Atlanta to form an elite DJ group. A large chunk of Nice Entertainment’s time, energy & money goes towards recruiting, intense training, shadowing and practicing.

Question: Do we do a thousand weddings at a low cost? Or a few weddings with unmatched entertainment at a higher cost? We chose the latter.
— Pivotal Business Decision For Nice Entertainment

We had to increase our prices well above our competitors to keep the business running. But the strangest thing happened. We started booking even more weddings in Atlanta. So we raised our prices again. Same thing. More weddings.

Currently, we book out all six DJ spots about a year in advance.

Who Will Be My DJ?

Yes, we have six DJs on our team. The client does not find out who their DJ is until 3 to 5 months before the wedding. I understand this could be a concern for you. And that’s why we have put our “DJ Swap Policy” in place. If you do not LOVE your assigned DJ, we will reassign New DJ. No questions asked.

We also offer at no additional cost to you “Back Up DJ Insurance”. No matter what, there will be a DJ at your wedding.

SO MANY WEDDINGS IN ATLANTA!

There were 40,648 weddings in Atlanta last year. That ranks 8 out of 933 Metropolitan Areas in the US.

  • 50% will have a small wedding with no reception.

  • 7% will try to have a family friend or DIY entertainment.

  • 16% hire a band.

  • 26% will hire a DJ.

  • 1% hire a DJ/Band combo.

That’s a lot of weddings for only a team of 6 DJ’s.

That means on a typical Friday there will be 500-600 weddings happening around town. Saturdays can host up 900 weddings during peek season in Atlanta! That’s NUTS!

If only 1% of couples getting married in Atlanta book our Mansion Package with DJ, Sax, & Drummer that’s 7.6 per weekend. That’s a problem! We only have 6 DJ’s. So someone is going to miss out. But that’s OK. We frankly don’t want to work with everyone. We are looking for the right client that fits perfectly with our style, energy, & personality. Is that you?

Entertainment Options Percentages

You Worked Hard For Your Money, Don’t Throw It Away On One Day!

According to reports on TheKnot and WeddingReport, the average amount spent on a single wedding in Atlanta is $35,000. Since most guests agree entertainment is the most memorable part of the wedding, what percentage of the budget should be set aside for dancing?

There’s no right answer for what percentage you should set aside for entertainment. But in most cases, it’s more than you think.

Take a look at the graph below. If you split everything up into equal parts, that would be 5.6% of your budget towards DJ. Which would be $1,960 if total budget was $35,000.

Wedding Vendors Needed

So many people taking a piece of the pie!

Right now you’re thinking “ah crap, I don’t have a big enough budget!”

Sure you do! You’ve just gotta move some stuff around.

I’m just not so sure you’re going to spend 5.6% of your budget on your officiant, calligrapher, tables, chairs, and nail technicians!

I’ve been to 725 weddings and in my opinion if you have a cool venue, good food, beer & wine, and killer entertainment… That’s all you need to have a fun memorable event. But I’m also a dude - and a DJ. So, I’m sure some ladies are doing backflips about the flowers, stationery, and decorations that I left off. ;-)

Remember: According to wedding attendees, what’s most memorable? I’m doubting very seriously that they are waking up thinking about the seating chart or the awesome favors they took home. Save the time and money. Cut some things completely out of the budget.

Don’t spend 12% of your budget on a photographer and 6% of your budget on your entertainment. You might have really nice pictures of an empty dance floor.

Why Is Nice Entertainment So Expensive?

As I already mentioned, there’s a limited supply to high demand of quality wedding entertainment in Atlanta. But let me break down what we actually bring to the table on the day of your BIG event.

Nice Entertainment brings $24,950 of value to every single event!

Is that what we charge? No! But that’s the amount of value we bring to your party! If you were to go out and put our package together, you’d need about $25k to make it happen.

Are You Considering A Band? Don’t! Here’s Why…

A lot of our clients say they were originally thinking about hiring a band for their wedding, but did not like the limited versatility the live band offered.

Most wedding bands in Atlanta (that you would want to play at your wedding) cost between $15,000-$30,000.

Even though hiring a big band is a lot of money, I’m NOT CONVINCED the actual entertainment experience is really that great. You’re “watching” the entertainment - instead of “being” the entertainment.

If you are the kind of person who goes to Six Flags to watch all the performances and not ride the rides, I’m sure a wedding band would be fun for you.

If you’re the type of person who likes to be surrounded by your friends and family and the focus of attention is on YOU, then a DJ would be a better fit.

With bands, most of the attention is on the stage – not the dance floor. Yes, they have choreographed dances and a horn section. That is super cool. But you are watching a show instead of dancing.

That’s the big difference between a DJ and a band. Where is the “center of energy”? With a band, the center of the energy is on the stage. With a DJ– the center of energy is the center of the dance floor.

With Nice Entertainment’s Mansion Package, you get the best of both worlds. You get the DJ spinning tracks, keeping the energy on the crowd - the center of the dance floor. But you also have the pizzazz of the live instrumentalist for even more excitement!

“I only want a DJ. We don’t have room for live musicians”

First off if you don’t want live musicians with your DJ, you may not have a good understanding of what it sounds, or looks like. I would suggest requesting more information below and I’ll kindly send you more videos, talk to you on the phone, or heck invite you to see us play live in person.

But if space available is truly a concern I think that I can solve that problem as well.

Most DJs have a 6-foot table, with a speaker on the right side of the table and the left side of the table that spreads out and takes up about 12 feet wide by 6 feet long. This easily fits the parameters including the sax and drums to the right and left of the DJ table. Please see my struggling artist drawing below.

You may be asking… So what’s all of this cost? What are your current packages?

It seems great! Nice Entertainment has been in business a long time, you guys have great reviews, you’ve got some really unique packages… How do I find out more???

Glad you asked.

We’ve made it super easy!!!
