First DJ Experience
My first time experiencing a DJ was at a teen night club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Every year my church took the youth group to the beach. And one night they decided to take us to this teen night club. IT WAS AWESOME!
I never saw the DJ. I never thought about the DJ. I didn’t want to be a DJ. I really didn’t even know what a DJ was. What I did know - was I danced like a madman for about 5 hours straight. Sweating, heart pounding, hearing & feeling music like I’d never heard before!
I think that is a key ingredient to being an awesome DJ. Create an “experience”. Let each person in the crowd BE the “star”. Let the actual crowd be the entertainment and let the DJ be the energy that makes them lose their minds.
Q: What was your first DJ experience? Was it a good one? Do you remember what you felt the first time you heard great music out huge speakers? Who introduced music to you?

Impress Your Wedding Guests
I know it may seem like a given to most brides, but some forget the impact that the wedding entertainment will have on their guests. If they choose a cheap or poor DJ (usually the same), the guests are more likely to have less fun and leave early. Why spend so much time and money on an incredible day and have everyone leave early?
Yesterday we had the privilege to perform a Sunday wedding for a couple in Nashville (Cedarwood). Sunday weddings are notorious for people dipping out early. Let me tell you... no one left early at this wedding! As a matter of fact, most of our events the crowd chants “One more song!”
Here’s a quote from swheeler615 on TheKnot.com“...and at the end of the night, when it was time to go, our guest chanted "one more song!" It was clear, Hans was doing such a fantastic job with reading the crowd and knowing the best music to play, that no one wanted to go.”
Check out the highlight video below of the awesome time we had in Nashville with Meghan and David! By the way, we are totally digging “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke as the best summer wedding hit!
