How It All Started
I started DJing in 2015 after realizing how much I loved being the one to set the vibe for people. At first it was just me experimenting with a cracked iPod and some Walmart speakers, but I quickly fell in love with the craft. By 2019 I decided to leave engineering and chase my passion full-time, and I have been rocking dance floors ever since.
Favorite Wedding Moment Ever!
One of my favorite memories as a wedding DJ was when I got booked to DJ my cousin’s wedding. It was the first time I got to meet my dad’s side of the family and they got to see me not just as family but in my element as a DJ. That moment was bigger than music. It was about connection, legacy, and creating memories on both sides of the turntables.
DJ Ty’s Favorite Part Of A Wedding…
My favorite part of a wedding reception is when the dance floor opens and the energy explodes. That is the moment when everyone lets go and I get to bring the vibe to life.
RAPID FIRE QUESTIONS…
If you were attending a wedding as a guest, what's your "go to" dance move on the dance floor? I have a signature dance called water whipping. It’s a Savannah dance that people typically enjoy seeing around the world.
What's your spirit animal? Eagle
Beach or Mountains? Beach
What did you have for breakfast? Egg white grill meal from Chick Fil A
What's the last exercise thing you did? Running
BUT SERIOUSLY THOUGH…
What's one tip you'd give a couple planning their wedding?
Decide early on what matters most to you two and build everything else around that. Oh and don’t forget to have the most fun you’ve ever had in your life.
