How It All Started

Already coming from a background full of music, I met a DJ at a wedding who saw me eyeballing the DJ board. My husband saw my passion and bought me my own DJ board as a wedding gift! Started playing around and never looked back.

Favorite Wedding Moment Ever!

My favorite memory DJing a wedding was early in my DJ career. I did a killer mix starting with Footloose and half of the crowd was doing the dance. Then smoothly transitioned it to the Dougie that had people turning my way with faces of shock and enjoyment. By the end everyone was dancing from age 12-87!!!

Jamal’s Favorite Part Of A Wedding…

My favorite part of the wedding reception is the late night dancing. That part of the night where it turns from “Okay we’re grooving” to “THIS IS CRAZY!!!”

1. If you were attending a wedding as a guest, what's your "go to" dance move on the dance floor? When I was 8 years old I made up a dance move called “The Squirrel” at the skating rink, dancing in my own world…. so probably the squirrel.

2. What's your spirit animal? Lion

4. What did you have for breakfast? Pancake Bowl with Cookie Butter

5. What's the last exercise thing you did? Sparring

What's one tip you'd give a couple planning their wedding?

It’s okay to say no to every formality that’s normally at weddings (cake cut, bouquet toss, etc. Instead, focus on having fun - oh - and of course lots of dancing!
