Charleston, SC is a beautiful place to get married -- even if you’re not from Charleston. An easy drive from most major cities in the South, its beautiful scenery and incredible food, it’s no surprise why this area is a mecca for weddings.
But narrowing down a venue can be hard where there are so many beautiful ones to consider. No worries, we’ve done a little of the leg work for you and have picked three Charleston wedding venues that we feel would be awesome for a celebration!
The William Aiken House
This 1810 mansion on Upper King Street is a great blend of old luxury and modern design. It’s natural beauty, including century-old (or older) oak trees, and the 19th-century aesthetics make this venue special.
Not to mention, the venue can hold up to 500 guests, so there’s no need to curb your guest list (unless you just want to… sorry Uncle Jerry). There’s a reason this venue receives so many accolades, so check it out.
The Cedar Room
Looking for an open and industrial concept to host your event? Look no further than The Cedar Room at the historic Cigar Factory. The East Bay Street venue features elements of the original building, constructed in the early 1880s. Rustic brick and natural wood floors, coupled with floor-to-ceiling windows framing a view of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge make this venue truly special.
The venue is 7,500 square feet and can host a party of 300 for a sit-down dinner. Cigars in the courtyard anybody?
Lowndes Grove Plantation
This 14-acre, waterfront estate in the heart of Charleston is an incredibly scenic venue for those couples seeking a truly special event. Built in the late 18th century, the property offers a private dock and plenty of room to get creative with your event.
If you’re looking for the epitome of refinement in your Charleston wedding, you need to drop by the St. Margaret Street venue and have a cup of coffee while watching the Ashley River flow by.
A picturesque wedding venue deserves an entertainment package worthy of its beauty. At Nice Entertainment, our Mansion Package, complete with a live band and DJ hybrid, would stun your guests and keep them smiling all night. We’d love to speak with you if you’re planning your Charleston wedding!
