Saying that looking good on your wedding day is a priority would be one a huge understatement! Looking good on your wedding day can often times translate into feeling good, and that’s the ultimate goal of a wedding. But when most people think of advice for how you look at a wedding, it’s bride-centric. We totally get why that’d be the case, but we’re going to smash gender stereotypes on this blog and shout out to the fellas in the audience.
How a groom looks and feels is important, but apart from having a well-tailored suit and feeling fit, there’s not much else that goes into the look. Except for the hair. Gentlemen, it’s all about the hair.
So, we’ve scoured the web and found some awesome style tips for you grooms-to-be and your hair.
Side note: our CEO hans is all about the hairdos, so if you need some advice, just check him out on Facebook.
Trendy vs. Timeless
There’s two different schools of thought when it comes to men’s wedding hairstyles: to trend or not to trend. There are pros and cons to each, but the main issue is how those photos will play out 10, 20, 30 plus years from now. It essentially boils down to if you want your kids to make fun of your because of your hair.
Maybe it’s best to stick with a timeless haircut or something that is borders trendy, but doesn’t go all the way. But, we’re just a few people, so if you’re into a rad, wild hairdo, then we say go for it! Just be prepared for some fun ribbing from your hipster kids.
Don’t Skimp on a Stylist
If you get your haircut at SportsClips, we’re not here to judge you. We just ask that maybe you rethink that before your wedding day. Yes, it may be a tough pill to swallow to drop more than $100 on a “haircut,” but your bride and photographer will thank you.
Trust us when we say you don’t want to end up with a bad haircut at the altar, and a proper barber or stylist can help mitigate that. Plus, boutique shops are tons of fun and often have a sweet bar to make an event out of it.
Pro tip: the day before your wedding, grab your buddies, hit the barber shop, and make a day out of it. It’ll be a fun way to decompress before the big day.
KEEP THE BEARD
Seriously, keep the beard. Just trim it up.
